- Message from The Binghamton Jr. Senators Coaching Staff & Management06/22/2009
Dear Athlete and Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to the Binghamton Jr. Senators 2009-2010 hockey season. We are very excited about the upcoming season with all of its new challenges and anticipated achievements. Our goal is to produce an extremely hard working team that is committed to team and personal success, and with this in mind, it is every player's responsibility to be physically and mentally prepared for a competitive training camp.
Preparation for training camp is extremely important, and we cannot emphasize this point enough. In many cases, off-season preparation and physical conditioning will either make or break a player's season. Each of you needs to attend training camp in prime physical condition with an unyielding desire to be the best.
In addition to preparation as a key element of success, communication is another factor necessary for a successful season. Our organization is committed to open dialogue between coaches and players concerning their roles and responsibilities on and off the ice. Each player needs to understand that the coaches will be honest about their play, conditioning, and attitude; additionally, coaches understand that players have an open door to the coach's office to discuss any concerns.
Furthermore, communication between parents/guardians and coaches is important. Parents should expect the following communication from the coaching staff: team philosophy, team requirements, team discipline/behavioral expectations, and travel itineraries. Under no circumstance will the coaching staff discuss players' ice time, team strategy, or any coaching decision directly related to team performance with parents. Any and all discussion about ice time will be between the coach and the player.
Again, we want to thank you for your commitment to the Binghamton Jr. Senators organization, and we remain confident that the experiences and the lessons learned by each player will positively impact them both on and off the ice.
Sincerely,
Jr. Sens Staff
